Spring is here, and with it comes fresh starts! There's something magical about this season—the way sunlight dances through budding trees, and vibrant colors erupt across the landscape. Nature seems to whisper, “Its time for renewal.”

Spring always feels like a fresh start! Especially this year, since our youngest is graduating from college! Easter, Mother's Day and Graduation season are quickly approaching, and I'm feeling the need to refresh my interiors and refocus my intentions.

If you are feeling that same inspiration then let me share some simple ways to bring the joy of fresh starts into your home!

Start with Nature-Inspired Art

Nature inspired art is one of the easiest ways to capture the delicate charm of fresh starts and bring it into your space. The beauty of spring doesn't have to stay outside—it can live in your home, pollen-free!

  • Try placing a botanical print above your fireplace to embrace the continuing trend of biophilic design. These prints not only add beauty but also create a calming connection to nature and welcome in the life erupting outside.

  • Consider placing an illustration of a serene retro landscape on the table near your front door. This years spring trend of vintage-inspired art prints brings a touch of serenity indoors while adding timeless class.

  • If you are feeling creative, why not try painting something yourself? Even if it's a simple watercolor inspired by the blooms in your yard, it's a wonderful way to connect personally with the season.  If you're worried about mess or supplies, try using a self-contained watercolor kit—it comes with everything you need, including a no-mess palette!

Refresh Your Space with Simple Touches

Renewal doesn't have to mean a complete overhaul. Sometimes small changes can make a big impact—think of it like swapping jewelry to complement an outfit. Adjusting subtle accents in your home can shift your perspective and breathe new life into your space.

  • Swap out heavy winter throws for lighter textures like linen throw pillows or spring colored lightweight covers.

  • Add fresh flowers to your coffee table or kitchen counter; their fragrance and vibrant colors are instant mood lifters. I don't suffer with allergies so I look forward to bringing in the blossoms from our cherry tree every spring. If you do, try a flameless decorative candle like this one!

  • Try adding some new ceramic pieces or glass to add sparkle and color. It's the little things that will shift your space into spring effortlessly.

Celebrate Easter through Design

Easter is all about rebirth-a theme that resonates deeply with spring. You can reflect this in your decor by incorporating symbolic elements or colors that reflect the hues of sunrise.

Find Joy in Renewal

Refreshing your home can be surprisingly therapeutic. It's a way to reset, to let go of what no longer serves you, and embrace what brings you joy. In fact, there is a growing field of study called environmental psychology that speaks to this.

Surrounding yourself with pieces that inspire hope and growth can transform your space and your mindset. Start with these five elements.

  • Lighting-Use warm toned bulbs and shades to mimic natural light.

  • Greenery-Plants are known for their impact on overall mood and air quality! Collect them and enjoy!

  • Art-According to Lauren S. Seifert, and Melinda K. Baker. “Art and Alzheimer-type dementia: A longitudinal study", art in the home helps with symptoms of anxiety/depression, and ignites strong emotional memory.

Include images with water in the scene for an additional calming affect. Our new coastal collection is perfect for bringing the peace of the ocean and the beach environment into your special spaces.

  • Color- Spring and Easter are synonymous with color and it goes without saying that color impacts mood. Blues make the space feel calm, and deeper tones evoke a sense of introspection. Choose colors that promote positivity in you!

Let Your Home Tell Your Story

Your home is more than just a place to sleep and do life, it is a reflection of who you are and where you're going. This spring, let it inspire you to share your story of renewal—of fresh starts and new possibilities waiting on the horizon.

Whether it's through art that speaks to your soul or decor that brightens every corner, let each choice inspire joy and hope as we embrace this season together. Here's to renewal—and all the beauty it brings! Happy Easter Y'all!
